What are microdermal anchors?
Microdermal anchors (or dermal anchors, single
point piercing) are a great alternative to the traditional surface piercing. The jewelry allows the wearer to have a
piece of jewelry in areas where a normal piercing would normally fail. You can have just one (which confuses alot of
people..."Where is the other part of the jewelry?"), or have multiple. The tops of the jewelry can vary from
simple flat disks to gems of different sizes and color. Like all of our jewelry used in fresh piercings, these are made
from certified implant grade titanium for your safety.
Daniel has been performing microdermal implants since 2006 and people still have them. Just like a piercing, these should
be treated as being permanent, but if it needs to be removed, that is possible. When considering receiving a microdermal
anchor, it is important to chose a practioner which cannot only do the procedure safely, but
can also remove the jewelry if need be.
