Owner and Body Modification Artist at The Shaman's Den, Daniel Kicinski has
been piercing since 1997 and is currently the only Male member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) in upstate

The Shaman's Den is a full-service piercing establishment, which includes
all basic unisex, genital and surface piercings, as well as dermal punching and scalpelling for ears and is also now offering
microdermals. All jewelry is the highest quality implant grade Titanium (ASTM 6Al4V ELI F-136-98) for your safety and
comfort. This alloy is the same used in medical applications, such as bone pins, rods, hip replacements, etc.
All equipment used in the piercing process is autoclave sterilized (gloves are pre-sterilized from the manufacturer using
Ethylene Oxide gas). All needles are single use and are disposed of immediately after the procedure. Everything
else is either thrown away (gauze, bands, corks, cotton applicators, gloves, etc.) or disinfected, manually decontaminated,
ultrasonically cleaned , dried, packaged and sterilized (pliers, receiving tubes, tapers, forceps, etc.). All surfaces
(chairs, mayo stand and tray, tables, etc.) are also disinfected with an appropriate, hospital grade disinfectant between
each client and throughout the day. All of this is done to give you, the customer, peace of mind that
you are receiving a safe, comfortable and satisfying piercing experience.
